There is a wide range of activities and attractions for every age in the immediate environment. Below a selection of the possibilities within 10-45 minutes by car from Hiša Lojz.
- With the cable car up the mountain Kanin (at the village entrance of Bovec)
- In the village of Žaga horseback riding along the Soča; there are 2 ranches
- In the village of Žaga, swimming and sunbathing on the small beach in the river Učja (across the bridge, after about 100 meters follow the path down through the meadow on the right)
- In Plužna village: waterfall and lakes at Slap Virje
- Slap Boka on the road from Žaga to Bovec on the left; biggest waterfall in Slovenia
- Village Bovec with many terraces and shops
- Kluže Fortress: shortly after Bovec. Built in 1472 as a fortress between Bovec near the road to Cave del Predil and Carinthia
- Car trip to Lepena: beautiful gorges, wooden bridges over the river Soča
- Panorama car route with Open Air Museum: Kolovrat/Pot Miru (in village Livek, the road to Tolmin, Panoramski Pot Miru is indicated)
- Napoleon’s bridge at Kobarid
- Kobarid Museum; First World War Museum
- Italian church and war memorial (WW 1) Kobarid (Sacrario dei Caduti)
- Drežnica; nice mountain village for a nice walk (on the road to Kobarid)
- Slap Kozjak; magnificent waterfall near Kobarid
- Krampež waterfall near Kobarid (10-minute walk from the parking lot)
- Tolminska Korita; water gorges of Tolmin
- Nature swimming and sunbathing in the Nadiža near Kobarid (no facilities). Just past Kobarid.
- Nature swimming and sunbathing: Sella Nevea (It) with catering facilities and attractions for children. Drive over the mountain pass Predil. Right at the bottom of the pass, you are then in Italy, is this beautiful lake.
